Helping Mums to Bond

Do you have a story to tell about someone special who has helped you to bond with your baby?

We are looking for three wonderful people who have helped mums to bond with their babies and what’s more we have £1,500 worth of Mothercare vouchers to give away.  Infacol’s Baby Bonding Award is designed to recognise those special midwives, health professionals, partners, friends and relatives who have helped mums to develop that special bond. 

In its fourth year we are introducing a new category, the Diamond Award, which recognises the special love and support that grandparents provide. Perhaps a grandparent who provides a shoulder to cry on when times get tough, or lends their time and affection to caring for baby whilst mummy and daddy enjoy a rest. Whatever the reason, we want to celebrate that Grandparents truly are great.

Gloria Hunniford, is heading up this year’s award scheme. Commenting on her role, Gloria said:  “I am delighted that Infacol has introduced the Diamond Award to recognise loving grandparents everywhere.” “Their love, support and reassurance is an essential part of the bonding process between a new mum and her baby and it’s only right that we should celebrate them.” We are inviting new parents to share their stories and nominate a health professional, a Gem or a Diamond who has helped them bond with their baby.

Each of the winning nominators wins £500 in Mothercare vouchers, the Diamond and Gem Award winners will receive a specially engraved crystal bowl and the Healthcare Professional wins a £1,000 training bursary. 

The awards will be judged by Bounty and Prima Baby & Pregnancy and the winners will be presented with their awards at a special London ceremony early next Spring.

To enter the competition, simply email your story to infacol@forest-labs.co.uk including the name of your health professional, friend/relative/neighbour or grandparent and how you know them. Please also include your own name, address and contact number. 

The deadline for entries is 31 December 2011.
