Chicken and apple baby food
6 ounces boneless and skinless chicken breast
5 – 6 ounces of apples, peeled, cut and cored
2 teaspoons of sugar-free apple juice
How to make:
This healthy homemade baby food recipe is really easy to make. Pour boiling water over the chicken breast until it is covered and then simmer in a saucepan for 15 minutes, until the chicken is a light brown colour.
Mix the chopped apple in a food blender slowly adding the apple juice, until you have a thick and smooth consistency.
Then separately blend the chicken in the food blender until it is smooth and completely free of lumps.
Pour the apple mixture into the blender and blend together with the chicken.
Serve straight away on its own or together with finger food, such as carrot sticks or celery sticks. Even the most fussiest of babies will not be able to resist prodding the sticks into the mixture and putting it into their mouths!
