Hairstylist Daniel Galvin Jr, from Galvin & Galvin, says:
“The chemicals in haircare products today can ‘charge–up’ kids the same way sugar and junk foods can and 60% of synthetic ingredients are easily absorbed into the skin, so you can only imagine the harm it causes to children in the long run. Their delicate skins can be stripped of oil and children can often develop asthma or eczema.”
I find this statement totally fascinating. For some reason I am pretty strict about what goes on my children’s skin but I’m not too fussy about their hair – apparently forgetting that hair is attached to scalp i.e. skin.
Galvin & Galvin has launched a new haircare range for children, called Dubble Trubble. The range includes four 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash variants in Cherry Bomb, Bananaberry, Watermelon and Strawberry; a Hypoallergenic 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash in Cool Cucumber; and a Detangling Conditioner Spray also in Cool Cucumber.
The haircare range for children products are organic and contain botanic extracts with ingredients especially suited to younger skin (and hair).
For example, strawberry is an antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory properties, banana is good for delicate skin and watermelon is gentle yet rejuvenating.
And I have to admit; I am a sucker for body and hair products that smell edible (in other words, I think I’ll rock some Cherry Bomb on my hair).
The haircare range for children is sold at Morrisons and online, and is totally reasonable in price. CLICK HERE to purchase.
