The art of swaddling comes naturally to but a few; the rest must subsist on fevered origami practice before bubs arrives–or baptism of fire at the 2am feed. Alternatively, you can use your cat to get it down. He’ll totally love it. Not.
What are felines for if not for parenting preparation?
Reddit user “turnbased” recently shared a pic of his cat swaddled in blankets with the caption: “My pregnant wife is practicing her swaddling. Skittles isn’t a fan.”
In just 14 hours, the photo received nearly a million views on Imgur, and has been upvoted on Reddit more than 58,000 times, since earning a spot on Reddit’s front page.
Much to her chagrin, Skittles is just one of many purritos helping expectant mums and dads master the integral skill of baby-wrapping. Not really. Ragey, clawing, biting fur balls are nothing like screaming newborns.
In all seriousness, it’s not advised you try this at home–it’s unlikely to help in any way with preparing you for parenthood. Although you may wanna keep the Skittles pic handy for those long nights of feeds, poopsplosions and no sleep, when a good laugh is hard to come by.
