My one-year-old son is mad about bathing. His favourite thing to do in the bath is kick up a massive water storm and I don’t have the heart to kill his fun, so I look on the bright side: the floor is a whole lot cleaner afterwards, especially if my boy’s two older sisters have joined in on project tidal wave.
A recent survey, which has polled almost 50,000 parents to date, shows that an overwhelming majority of littl’uns are mad about their bath. When asked ‘How does your toddler feel about bath time?’ mums and dads said the following:
79 per cent of boys love their bath as do 80 per cent of girls; 7 per cent of boys don’t mind their birth and the same goes for 8 per cent of girls. 5 per cent of boys and 6 per cent of girls fight having a bath; 5 per cent of boys and 6 per cent of girls react differently every time and 4 per cent of boys and 1 per cent of girls fall into the category ‘other’.
So it’s a fact: Babies and baths – they’re a great match (not that you needed a statistician to tell you that).
What is your baby/toddler’s favourite bath time toy or game?
