Toddlers are great, but they’re also totally bonkers a large portion of the time. Not many people would describe the dears as ‘good for you’ – only in a doting mum, sentimental type of way – but actually, they really are quite good for you!
Researchers from GrowingUpMilkInfo.com commissioned a poll to find out how parents’ respective lifestyles might have changed since having toddlers in the house, and the results are fascinating:
Just under half (46 per cent) of parents have cut down on or quit drinking and more than one in ten (11 per cent) have stopped smoking. Over half (53 per cent) of parents are concerned their unhealthy eating habits will rub off on their toddler so they’ve changed their dietary habits; mums are spending up to 45 minutes a day (five hours a week) preparing their toddler’s evening meal.
There’s more: a quarter (24 per cent) of mums and dads claim they are more likely to eat their meals at the dinner table than before having a toddler, in an effort to encourage positive mealtime habits.
Toddlers – who knew?
