So… you’ve made the decision to have a family – you’ve even gone as far as getting pregnant. Perhaps you’ve given birth already. And you now realise that public transport with baby and paraphernalia in tow, is not always a convenient experience. In other words…
… you need a car.
But where do you start? – what is a good family car? – how much space should it have? – what kind of car seat is best for baby? – which is the safest car? An endless list.
To help parents out, Mumsnet has teamed up with What Car? Magazine for the launch of a user-generated car review feature on the parenting website. The microsite aims to offer straight-talking answers to common questions that Mumsnet users have about cars, which will sit alongside insight provided by What Car?’s expert panel.
The site includes a tool that will calculate the value of a used car, as well as advice on buying, selling and running a car. It also features used car valuations, a news section and reviews by mumsnetters.
A recent survey by Mumsnet revealed that 48 per cent of us would not trust any celebrity recommendation, while 77 per cent of us say a recommendation from a friend or a relation would be influential.
The microsite is concise, easy to use and informative – definitely worth a peep if you’re looking for advice on choosing a family car. Visit Mumsnet.com/cars to take a look.
